Start of game
1. Discuss the terrain
2. Roll for Psychic Powers/Gifts/etc.
3. Place Objectives using normal objective placement rules
4. Roll for deployment zones.
5. Roll for Night Fighting.
6. Roll for first turn. The player that wins the roll can choose to go first or second. The player going first then roll for warlord trait, deploys first and goes first unless the other player seizes the initiative.
8. Seize the initiative and start the game
Explanations
Ground Control
Control or contest two or more objectives at the end of the game to achieve this objective
Deescalating tactical objectives
tactical objectives where the handlimit is 7-(the turn number)(d3 = 2)
Secure Ground
Works as Tactical objectives but a player can also score Secure Objective X cards in their Opponents hand.
A player with a tier A or B army may not choose to discard a Secure Objective X card. (d3 = 2)
Big Game Hunter
The player who destroys the most expensive unit wins this objective.
Contact Lost
At the start of your turn draw tactical objective cards upor discard cards down to the number of objective markers you control. A player may only score 3 tactical objectives cards per turn. (d3 = 2)
First strike
The player that destroys a unit in game turn 1 gets 1 VP (both players can achieve this objective.
Multiple Line Breaker
At the end of the game count the number of units fully within 12” of the opponents table edge and score that many VP. Units consisting of multiple Independent characters only count as one unit.
Collect the unstable data
The player controlling most objectives in the end of each game turn gets 1 VP. Before counting the number of objectives (and if you get any maelstrom cards) first roll 1 dice; the objective with the corresponding number is counted as 2 objectives (for this purpose only). Then roll yet another dice; the objective with the corresponding number generates a force blast (hitting all models within 4" of its rim with S5 AP- Haywire, Ignores Cover).
Delayed Objectives
At the start of game turn 3 randomise how much VP each objective will be worth at the end of the game; 2 objectives shall be worth 3VP each, 2 objectives worth 2VP each and the last 2 objectives will be worth 1VP each.
Tactical Objectives - all
3 cards on hand. D3 rolls = 2. Only one Secure Objective X on hand (re-draw and shuffle)
Tactical Objectives - Secret Orders
The cards are not shown to your opponent until discarded or claimed.
Tactical Objectives - Contact Lost
Each player generates a number of cards based upon how many objectives they control at the start of their player turn.
Breaking the peace
The player who gets the first unit destroyed (one of their own) wins this objective.
Slaughter points
Score 1 VP for each enemy unit that have been completely destroyed. Each unit that was destroyed in the fight sub-phase award 1 additional VP for a total of 2 VP. Destroyed Independent Characters always counts as destroyed in the fight sub-phase. Each 3 hullpoints/wounds on a Super Heavy/gargantuan is worth 1VP.
King of the Hill
The player with most models fully within 6” of the centre point at the end of the game fulfills this objective.
Quarters
The player controlling most table quarters at the end of the game is winning this objective. To control the player shall have a unit fully within the quarter and no enemy units fully within that quarter, a unit can only control and contest one quarter.
