well i concede my argument if jaws is not a shooting attack since then the order of things wouldent matter but in my mind all shooting attacks are simultaneous there and a shooting attack that doesent need to roll to hit is in my mind automatic hit but still hit in the to "hit step" i realize these are not offical steps i expressed my opinion cause even thought i hate riptides and wraithknights as much as the other person i dont Think that specific combination should work.

i play necrons anyway so that specific ruling wont affect me but i thought i would make a counter argument.

yeah, when an effect is not required to be part of the shooting wound pool we rule that it is the Players choice.

It's the Wound pool in 6th that makes things tricky.


To bad you don't allow ForgeWorld. I could bring my Death Korp list. My friends named that list. "HobbyKiller - Destroyer of Dreams" Sounds like it would be a good list to play there. haha

Just to be clear where I am coming from here is straight from the FAQ:

What are the "normal rules of sequencing" that you follow? They are clearly not the standard rules from the book. Do not misunderstand me, I am just trying to understand how you rule things. I can play with house rules, I just need to know what they are.

If this is the way you will rule Grav/Jaws this is unfortunate to hear. My list is greatly weakened by this ruling. I guess I will have to back out of the tournament, unless I am able to change my list.

I'm coming over to have fun more than trying to win so just let me know what I can do and I will do it.

We base this decision On the fact that you fire and cast spells at the same time. This means that the initiative Of the one you're trying to hit is the same as when you cast the spell. As in, you roll the psychic test and at that moment you check the initiative Of the things under the line. Regardless Of if you shoot things first with that same unit.

Best of the Best of the Best of the Best! haha. How about Goofiest of the Goofiest of the Goofiest. I am a big hordes/mob guy and I was planning on trying my first DeathStar unit. This is the only reason I am asking these questions as I am trying to go super low model count for my trip.

Flogger, that FAQ is referring to (ALL) spells that are not direct damage spells, which Jaws does not do direct damage so how is this FAQ statement irrelevant? This FAQ effects ALL spells, Puppet, Jaws, Weaken Resolve and other spells of this nature no matter what "Edition" power they are.

An issue about waiting until the Tournament is that I will not know all of your house rules and this will throw off my strategies and tactics. The worst thing is to not find out about a house rule until it happens in the middle of a game. Do you have a FAQ on these rules for me to read?

And Flogger I will buy that first round of beer, or Fika, when we sit down and talk rules.

I hope you understand I am just talking rules here and trying to understand what rules you have there. I hope this does not come across as arguing rules because I want my way or something. Like I said, it is not that big of an issue for me to change my list, if i can, as long as it is clear that this is the way you will be ruling Grav/Jaws. It is just a real bummer because I have been working really hard to get this List built and painted, as well as looking forward to trying my first goofy "DeathStar" and now I'm out of time to figure out any last minute changes.

So if this is the way this will be ruled what are my options? Can I change my list, if I can find time to make any changes? Will there be other players there looking for games outside of the Tournament? I will still sponsor the Tournament even if I do not play in it, but I still really want to come and play in the tournament so let me know.

And for sure I plan on having fun just hanging out with you guys. Playing in the tournament is just a bonus.
